In general, families adopting children through Adoption Choice, Inc. range in age from 25-50 years old.  It should be noted that each country has unique rules and requirements for individuals adopting.  The international adoption process lasts between 6-9 months, from the time Adoption Choice, Inc. processes completed documents and approval is received from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).

During this process, parents must travel to the host country to finalize an international adoption.  We highly encourage our families to experience and learn about the country from which they are adopting.  While visiting the host country, we make sure a facilitator is available to aid translations and help acclimate and direct our families through the adoption process.

Total fees for an international adoption range from $18,000 - $27,000, depending on the country from which you choose to adopt.  In some cases, a federal tax credit of up to $5,000 is available for those who qualify.  In addition, many states offer similar tax credits and there are public and private grants available for families interested in international adoption.
